Founding Partner

Sameh specializes in dispute resolution and corporate law in all its forms, bringing with him 15 years of extensive experience of Arbitration and Litigation, both from Egypt and abroad.

Sameh has prosecuted and defended clients in large-value complex matters in relation to corporate restructuring, share purchase agreements, operational licensing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate bond issuances, and liquidation and bankruptcy.

He has also handled arbitral disputes under the auspices of most major arbitral institutions, including the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Dubai Centre for International Arbitration (DIAC), and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), and represented clients in litigation before civil, economic and administrative courts.

He has further been engaged by clients in the role of Settlement Counsel in cases where existing representatives have been unable to extract clients from protracted and complex arbitration/litigation and a more commercial approach is needed.

Sameh is recognized by his existing clients for being an assertive litigator, but also for promoting amicable resolution where possible.. His practice includes a wide range of industries, including real estate development, telecommunications, hospitality, cement, investment, energy & mining, agriculture and finance. Prior to founding Sameh Abdelsamad & Partners in 2015, Sameh spent his professional time as a member of Middle East top-tier law firms.

Further, he teaches arbitration and oral advocacy at the American Bar Association’s Educational Program, in cooperation with the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration.
